- Respect and Inclusivity: Treat all members with respect, kindness, and empathy, regardless of their background, identity, or experience level. We celebrate diversity and strive to create an inclusive space where everyone feels valued and supported. Use language that is inclusive, respectful, and considerate of all members. Avoid language that is offensive, discriminatory, or exclusionary, including but not limited to derogatory remarks, stereotypes, or slurs.
- No Harassment or Discrimination: Harassment or discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to that based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, disability, or appearance, level of experience, will not be tolerated. This includes offensive comments, unwelcome advances, intimidation, or any behavior that creates a hostile or uncomfortable environment for others. Actions or communication that undermine our safe, productive, and constructive space will not be tolerated.
- Constructive Communication: Engage in constructive and considerate communication with fellow members. Offer feedback and criticism respectfully and constructively, and be open to receiving feedback from others.
- Privacy and Confidentiality: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of fellow members. Do not share personal information or sensitive data without permission, and refrain from disclosing any confidential information shared within the community.
- Professionalism: Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions within the community. Refrain from engaging in behavior that is unprofessional, disruptive, or harmful to the reputation of the community.
- Safe Learning Environment: Create a safe and supportive learning environment where members feel comfortable asking questions, seeking help, and sharing their experiences. Be patient, encouraging, and supportive of fellow members, and foster a culture of collaboration and mutual aid.
- Reporting and Accountability: If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this code of conduct, please report it to the community moderators or administrators. All reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion, and appropriate action will be taken to address the issue.
